(b. 1969, Melbourne, Australia)
With a creative background stretching back to childhood (photography prizes in Primary school and vandalising the bedroom walls with crayon rabbits), Cyndi went on to specialise in creating unique, hand crafted, couture bridal gowns under her own name, winning awards and landing magazine covers along the way.
More recently, she embarked on (and is completing) an Advanced Diploma of Photography, at Photography Studies College (PSC) in Melbourne.
It’s not so much a love of picking up a camera and taking a picture, but the construction of an image that holds the fascination for her. The fun lies in making props, constructing sets, playing with image manipulation and compositing elements to make something new, quite often with a hint of humour or absurdity.
Having been in the wedding industry for so long, it was unexpected but inevitable that she would also cross over into wedding photography, so the balance of the two genres are perfect for her, being a Gemini.
Among Cyndi’s favourite things are extremely hot chillies and rollercoasters, as they help to satisfy the secret thrill seeker that lurks inside.
Her Burmese cats love Photoshop too, as they always seem to crowd out the desk and ‘help’.
